Robert Howell is a lifelong Californian, a small business owner, and a community advocate with decades of real-world experience. He built his company in Silicon Valley from the ground up and knows firsthand how rising costs, overregulation, and unstable insurance markets hurt families and small businesses. Robert is not part of the insurance industry and he is not a career politician. He is someone who understands what it feels like to fight through California’s broken systems as a property owner and a business owner.
Why He Is Running
Robert is running because California needs an Insurance Commissioner who represents the people, not the insiders. After years of warnings about rising wildfire risks and an insurance market collapsing in slow motion, Sacramento failed to act. Companies pulled out, homeowners were dropped, and tens of thousands of families were left defenseless. The recent Palisades disaster only confirmed what Robert had been sounding the alarm about for years. Californians deserve a leader who will hold powerful interests accountable and put homeowners first.
Robert believes in responsibility, honesty, and fairness. He believes the government should work for the people who pay the bills. He believes every Californian deserves access to affordable insurance, clear communication, and an Insurance Commissioner who will fight for them when it matters most.
His mission is simple. Bring integrity back to the office and make sure Californians are protected, not ignored.
